Cameroon international Brenda Tabe became AWA FC’s all-time leading goal scorer when she scored in their 5-0 thrashing of FC Ebolowa during matchday two of the Cameroon Women Guinness Super League on Sunday.
The 18-year-old forward scored her 34th goal in 41 appearances to beat Eleane Bibout’s record as the club’s highest-scoring footballer in their history. It was also a memorable day for Lamine Mana who found the back of the net on her debut for AWA FC and assisted four times.
FC Ebolowa was well organized and difficult to break but they could not cope during the second half when the host turned the screw. Substitute Lamine Mana began the surge for goals when she broke the deadlock shortly after the restart.
FC Ebolowa’s task was made harder when Pauline Ayangma netted her own goal. Brenda Tabe and Kevin Ossol who both scored during their first game were on target while Farida Machia sealed the win deep into stoppage time.
AS AWA Fc remains second on the logs, level on points with leaders Éclair Fille de Sa’a alongside third place Caiman Filles of Douala. FC Ebolowa who began the season with a win is now 8th.

Lekie FF 2-1 Vision Sport
Lekie Football Filles held on to beat a spirited Vision Sport of Bamenda 2-1 at the annex of the Ahmadou Ahidjou Stadium on Saturday in Yaoundé to record their first win of the Women’s Guinness Super League.
Both sides started the game desperate for victory having suffered defeat in their opening games of the Championship. While Lekie FF will feel satisfied with the outcome Vision Sport are now under increasing pressure after another dreadful performance on a day they showed signs of recovery from their 6-1 defeat.
Melanie Keumedjio had put the host in front on 19 minutes before Angela Magueyep Ngueyop smashed in the second five minutes after halftime.
Vision Sport grew into the game after a poor start and succeeded to pull one back through Shalom Makoma but it wasn’t enough to avoid successive defeats. They tail the table pointless.
